Ronald Thomas Macey

Ronald Thomas Macey, a lifelong Milford resident, entered into rest on December 23, 2024.  His wife, Leona was by his side, along with his nephews and niece.  Born in Milford, May 10, 1951, Ron was a son of the late John and Margaret Bodo Macey.

After 52 years at Schick, Milford Ron retired in July. He devoted many years of his life to his job and took his responsibilities as a team leader very seriously.  Ron and Leona enjoyed traveling to various places of interest such as Alaska and Hawaii.  Ron’s favorite past times included working on cars, watching NASCAR, and attending his brother’s drag races.  He could often be found in the yard and around the house, building and fixing things until his injuries and illness prohibited him from doing so.

In addition to his beloved soul mate Leona, Ron’s family includes Leona’s children Dominick (Antoinette) Simeone, the late Teresa (Robert) Walters and the late Michael Simeone, all of whom he thought of as his own; his brothers John and Donald; six grandchildren Alycia (Moises) Ortiz, Jessica Raison, Nikki Walters, Victoria (Garrett )Durkin, Mark and Michael Simeone.; four great grandchildren Alyjah, Anjalyse, Abel and Papi Ortiz and Ariel Higley; nephews Frederick (Zelina) Macey and Jackie (Chrissy) Macey, nieces Willow, Montana and Sophia Macey.  In addition to Teresa, Michael and his parents, Ron is predeceased by his nephew John Macey Jr., sister-in-law Margo and in-laws Charles and Marie Bruneau Fredericks.

On Friday January 3, 2025 a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, Milford at 11:30.  Burial for Ron will take place at a later date.
