Santo Orazio Genna

Santo Orazio Genna, 80, of West Haven, passed away suddenly at his home on March 19, 2026. He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Frances Rae (Cascagno) Genna.

Born in New Haven on June 21, 1945, Santo was the son of the late Antonino and Jennie (Finocchiaro) Genna. A dedicated and hardworking man, he spent 40 years with Miles Laboratories/Bayer Pharmaceuticals before retiring.

Santo was known for his compassionate nature, generous spirit, and quiet sense of humor. He brought warmth and joy to those around him and lived a life defined by kindness, humility, and devotion to his family. That he passed away on St. Joseph’s Day feels especially fitting for a man who lived with such quiet strength and unwavering loyalty to his family. His strength was often shown not in words, but in the steady and giving way he cared for others. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity and love that we hope inspires all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Rose Genna.

In addition to his wife, Santo is survived by his loving daughters, Toni Genna, and Sandi Felke and her husband, Tom; his brother, Salvatore Genna and his wife, Frances; his cherished grandsons, Brennan and Grayson Felke; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 26, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.
