Sophie (Cuozzo) Rasile

Sophie C. Rasile, 81, of West Haven entered into rest on October 8, 2025.  For the past 59 years, she was married to her beloved husband Frank A. Rasile.  Sophie’s family included her cherished sons Frank J. (Lisa) Rasile, (West Shore FD) and Steven B. (Kristine) Rasile, 5 grandchildren Michael, Megan, Matthew, Victoria and Isabella, all of whom she was most proud and her siblings Linda Macosky, Gerald and Robert Cuozzo. A lifelong resident of West Haven Sophie was a daughter of the late Gerald and Louise Esposito Cuozzo.  Family was the focus of Sophie’s life, a wonderful cook and a devoted mother and grandmother.  She made time to attend events for each of her grandchildren.  As she was with both of her sons, she took great pride in all their successes and supported them unconditionally.

The hours for visitation will take place on Wednesday October 15 from 4 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.  On Thursday morning, the procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Vianney Church of St. John the XXIII Parish at 10 o’clock.  Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Masonic Charity Foundation, P.O.
