Stephen John LaScola Jr.

Stephen J. LaScola Jr., 78, of West Haven passed away after a brief illness, on December 28, 2025. He was the loving husband of Gail (Sova) LaScola for 44 years.

Born in Lawrence Massachusetts on March 25, 1947, he was a son of the late Stephen LaScola, Sr. and Jennette (Jones) LaScola.

Stephen was a proud Vietnam era Army Veteran with the 82nd Airborne Division. Stephen was also a Carpenter for a living serving the community with his handy work for many years. He even remodeled his entire house. Stephen enjoyed tending to his garden, puttering around his garage and singing snippets of the oldies, not necessarily in key.

Stephen is survived by his children Stephen J. LaScola III (Heather) and Gina M. LaScola; his seven grandchildren Elle, Casey, Van, Brenna, Haley, Alicia and Logan; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends; as well as his beloved cats Buddy and Remington.

Per Stephen's request there will be no viewing or services. A Celebration of Life will take place in spring at the family’s discretion.
