Timothy Ellis, 69, of West Haven entered into rest on January 30, 2025 after a very brief illness. Tim’s heartbroken family includes his wife Noreen Cronin Morone Ellis, and their daughter Bridget Marie Ellis (Brian Snyder), his first wife Edyth F. Ellis and their children Jennifer A. Ellis DiDonato and Timothy R. (Kristen) Ellis, an adored grandchild Emily Snyder, siblings Robert H. (Susan) Ellis Jr., Eugene J.(Kayhleen) Ellis, David J. Ellis, the late Daniel T. Ellis and Kathleen M. (Michael) Lutz, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, too numerous to list. In addition to his brother Daniel, he is predeceased by his parents, Robert H. and Emily E. Geer Ellis.
Upon graduation from West Haven High School in 1974, Tim enlisted in the US Navy. He served aboard the USS Alamogordo, as a boatswain’s mate. After 2 years, he transferred to the Naval reserves and began his studies as an electrical engineer at Brazoport College in Texas. From 1974 through 1980, Tim worked in various capacities as an electrician, as a foreman, rewiring, supervising construction sites and as a journeyman electrician in Louisiana, also during that time period. He returned to CT. and was employed as a Class A electrician at several companies, including New England Die Casting, William Davis and AGR Electric. Tim continued his career as an electrician at Bozzuto’s where he worked at the time of his death. As an active member of St. John Vianney Church, Tim could be found tinkering and repairing all sorts of things around the church property. He held several volunteer positions at church including as a member of the Finance Committee. Yearly, he tirelessly volunteered wiring, setting up, working and cleaning up at the church carnival. An all-around great guy, Tim had many lifelong friends. He always offered to help whenever he could. Although there are so many cherished memories, Tim is sadly missed by his entire family.
The hours for visitation will take place on Monday February 3, 2025 from 4 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home. On Tuesday morning, all are asked to meet directly at St. John Vianney Church, St. John XXIII Parish. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, West Haven.
