Vincent N. Amendola Sr., 96, of West Haven entered into rest on May 17, 2025. Known to many as Jimmy, his family includes his beloved wife Lorraine Aveni Amendola, accomplished children and their spouses Phyllis (Scott) Silver and Vincent N. (Marylou) Amendola, Jr., and his four grandchildren Jacqueline (Jim Turpin) Amendola, James (Becky Connelly) Amendola, Rose and Jay Silver, all of whom he was so proud, and two brothers Salvatore (companion Rose Moore) Amendola, the late Andrew Amendola and sister-in-law Arlene Amendola.
Jimmy was a founding member of St. John Vianney Church and a longtime communicant. An avid Yankees fan, he watched countless games throughout his life.
The hours for visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 4 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. On Wednesday morning all are requested to meet directly at St. John Vianney Church of St. John XXIII Parish. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
