Wahyu “Angie” Anggraini Brillante, 51, of West Haven, died on March 26, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Indonesia on September 25, 1970, a daughter of the late Suyadi and Moerdjijati Anggraini. Angie is survived by her most beloved husband of twenty-one years, Alfred Brillante; sisters Esti Winahyu, Dr. Drg Endang Wahyuningtyas, Dr. Wahyu Dewati, and Drg. Wahyu Susilaningtyas; as well as brother Dr. Kunta Setiaji. She is additionally predeceased by brother Ari Prastowo.
Angie emigrated to the United States in 1998, whereby shortly after met and fell in love with her husband Alfred. Angie believed in higher education and a tenacious pursuit of personal goals. She graduated from the University of New Haven with a Master of Business degree, and after several years within the banking industry, came to realize her true calling was that of medicine and caring for those most in-need. Angie dedicated the next five years of her career as a registered nurse with The Reservoir in West Hartford, ultimately becoming accepted and beginning coursework within an esteemed APRN program.
Angie and her husband enjoyed the experience of varied ethnicities while dining at favored restaurants, embarking on excursions to the casino, attending theatrical productions, and the serenity found in walking the beach together. Despite an enduring hardship, both she and Alfred remained steadfast in their love and commitment to each another.
Arrangements have been entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A funeral service will commence on Sunday, April 3rd, at 5 o’clock, in the First Congregational Church of West Haven. Interment will be private.
