Winnie (Lavery) Coates

Winnie Lavery Coates, 70, of Orange, wife of the late David Coates died on March 20, 2024 after a long and difficult illness. Winnie leaves her loving children Mandy (Michael) Lucibello, D.J. Coates and Patrick Coates; 2 adored grandchildren Sean and Morgan Lucibello; her brothers Thomas (Debbie C.) Lavery, Joseph (Sharon) Lavery, Gene (Karen) Lavery, Brian (Andrea) Lavery, and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Doris Rowan Lavery and brother John Lavery.

Winnie retired from Sodexo, where she was employed for many years in food service at the University of New Haven.  Spending time with her family and friends, and especially with her grandchildren gave Winnie so much joy.  She will be sadly missed by everyone.

A memorial celebration will take place Monday March 25 from 4 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, with a service at 6:30.
