Celia Pinzi

Owner, Licensed Funeral Director, and Licensed Embalmer

Celia grew up in West Haven, Connecticut and graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.  A graduate of the New England Institute (NEI) in Boston, Massachusetts with a degree in Funeral Service, Celia has served as the Chairperson of the Board of Examiners for Funeral Directors and Embalmers for the State of Connecticut for 14 years.  Celia is the past President of the Connecticut Funeral Director’s Association and the public member of the Medical Legal Commission for the State of Connecticut.  For over 30 years, Celia has served families and their loved ones at West Haven Funeral Home which was established in 1965 by her late father, Nello J. Pinzi. Celia, despite her busy schedule, is active in the community and regularly volunteers for local charitable organizations. In her off time, Celia considers Block Island her second home. She enjoys cooking, traveling, theater and live music, and spending time with her family and friends.

Michael Dion

Licensed Funeral Director and Licensed Embalmer

Michael Dion joined West Haven Funeral Home in 2000.  He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the funeral profession since 1997.  He received his degree in Mortuary Science from Briarwood College. He is a member of the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association, and West Haven Elks Lodge #1537.  Michael lives in East Haven, Connecticut with his family.

Kevin is a longtime Westie,. and very involved in his community. He takes great pride in everything he does, and it shows. Kevin often assists on funerals, and will greet you when you arrive for calling hours.  He is also our resident Mr. Fix-It. During his free time, Kevin enjoys time with family and friends, golfing, and traveling.
